Swing of the Quad Cities

In 2006, National Sports Services was hired by the Swing to analyze all areas of team operations and provide a written report regarding prior and current performance, and areas in which the team can reduce expenses and/or drive new revenues.  The Swing was a member of the Single A Midwest League, and was affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals.   The team realized the benefits of changes to its operations, which was a factor in the increased value the team commanded in a future sale of the team.  Following the sale, the team was re-branded as the River Bandits, a popular name and brand from its past.   The team continues to play as a member of the Midwest League and is currently affiliated with the Houston Astros.
