In 2011-12, National Sports Services assisted Andrew Berlin in the acquisition of the SilverHawks, a Single A team playing in the Midwest League. Following the purchase, NSS helped Berlin develop a public-private renovation plan for Covaleski Stadium, which included several fan-related upgrades. NSS also worked closely with the team to implement new plans for sales and marketing and overall team operations. These new efforts, coupled with key staff hires and stadium upgrades, have been instrumental in driving all-time attendance figures for the team. Another element which added to patrons’ excitement is the affiliation change and branding with the Chicago Cubs in 2014.
