Engel Stadium
Chattanooga, Tennessee
In the 1990’s, Bill Davidson, CEO of National Sports Services, served as General Manager of the Chattanooga Lookouts Double A Minor League Baseball franchise. The Lookouts played in historic Engel Stadium, which was built in 1930 and hosted such Major League greats as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Rogers Hornsby and Satchel Paige. When originally constructed, the facility had a capacity for 12,000 patrons, but was reduced to approximately 7,000 in its later years. Davidson was involved in tenant/landlord relations, stadium renovations and ongoing maintenance of the historic stadium.
